Glaze, Scholar-Athletes Highlight NCCAA Postseason Awards
ANKENY, Iowa --- Eight Sabercats earned NCCAA awards for the 2016-17 basketball season, as was announced to the teams at the pre-tournament Awards Banquet at the NCCAA DII National Basketball Championships last night, hosted by Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa.
Hanna Glaze earned NCCAA First Team All-America honors, and was awarded a plaque along with the other four athletes that were voted as the best five players in NCCAA DII. Glaze's impact has been apparent this season, as the transfer from Clearwater Christian College has amassed 618 points in 51 games (12.1 ppg) while grabbing 269 rebounds, 128 assists, and 135 steals.
Glaze was joined on the NCCAA awards list by the following Sabercat athletes, who earned NCCAA Scholar-Athlete honors:

Earning NCCAA Scholar-Athlete honors requires student-athletes (junior, senior, or grad students) to maintain a GPA of 3.4 while participating in their sport for the fall and spring semesters.
For the 2016-17 season, the Sabercats have landed eight players on the NCCAA First Team All-America, and 27 on the NCCAA Scholar-Athlete team.
