#7 Sabercats Stay Inside Top 10
WATERTOWN, Wis. --- The Sabercats Women's Basketball team have remained inside the Top 10 rankings of Division II for the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) for the entire regular season, as the season's final weekly rankings were released this afternoon.
The #7 Sabercats (13-11) have climbed one spot to seventh after starting the month at the number eight spot, and have ranked as high as fifth during the early stages of the season. The Sabercats are the lone representatives of the North Region in the Top 10 rankings, and are seeded second going into the regional tournament this weekend.
MBU is ranked second in the region behind Trinity Bible College (15-12), who received votes in the final NCCAA Top 10 placements.
Hanna Glaze and Alexis Johnson have continued their offensive leadership, and they led MBU to four wins in their last five regular-season games. Glaze's 325 points this season brings her to an average of 13.5 points per game while Johnson has registered an average of 12.7.
With the regular season behind them, MBU looks ahead to Friday, where they will host the NCCAA North Regional Tournament (powered by Culver's).
The Sabercats will begin play on Friday evening with a 5:00 p.m. clash against the #3-seeded Moody Bible Institute Archers (0-11), whom the Sabercats dispatched by a score of 76-37 last week.
