Haugen Named April Student-Athlete of the Month

WATERTOWN, Wis. -- Teddy Haugen's heroics in Minnesota fueled a big win for the Sabercats in April, and the freshman has earned the Pizza Ranch Student-Athlete of the Month Award - an in-house award from Maranatha Athletics.
The freshman out of Hubertus, Wisconsin smashed his first career home run and pitched all seven innings of the Sabercats' only win of the season - a 9-6 decision over North Central on April 13.
Haugen started all 16 games for the Sabercats, hitting .298 while finishing the month with a team-high .500 slugging percentage. Haugen recorded two home runs, three doubles, a triple, and nine RBIs along the way, and he made five appearances on the mound, starting the game in all five.
