Flying Fopma Named NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Jeremy Fopma flew to a top-five finish at the Wisconsin Private College Championships, and the National Christian College Athletic Association has awarded him with the title of NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week.
Fopma, a senior out of Marion, Iowa, ran a brisk 26:20 8K at Greenfield Park in West Allis, Wisconsin, and that cemented him in the top five on the day. Fopma won the event in 2019 and has finished inside of the Top 10 in each of the three years he has competed in it.
This award was the eighth time that Fopma has earned the weekly honor, making him the first Sabercat since 2016 to earn the honor eight times in their career.
Fopma and the Sabercats are preparing for this weekend's NCCAA North Region Championships at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa.
