Callie Named Game Plan 4 LIFE Award Recipient

GREENVILLE, S.C. (Courtesy of the NCCAA) -- The [National Christian College Athletic Association] is pleased to recognize Callie Morrison of Maranatha Baptist University as the 2022 Dr. Marti MacCullough Award recipient for DII Women’s Basketball.

Three-time NCCAA All-American, Callie Morrison, finished her senior season averaging 19.6 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per game. She is a standout leader and sets an example for her teammates with her work ethic, consistently training for her sport. Morrison’s name is etched in the program record books at MBU where she sits at third in career points (1,616), second in points per game (17.4), and first in career assists (431). Morrison led her team to three NCCAA National Championships after winning three consecutive North Regional titles from 2019 to 2021.

Morrison lives out her faith by investing numerous hours in her local church as a youth group leader and serving in other various areas. She does everything with a positive spirit and excellence which is demonstrated in her academics, athletics, and faith. Holding a 3.5 GPA, the senior will graduate with a degree in Pre-Physical Therapy and has been honored as NCCAA Scholar-Athlete and included in the MBU Institutional Academic Listings.

“Callie doesn’t look for the spotlight. She’s a team player,” said Head Coach Clayton Morrison. “She does her job with excellence and dependability and is focused on what is best for the team.”
