Flying Fopma Earns Monthly Award
WATERTOWN, Wis. -- Jeremy Fopma won a North Region title and a Runner of the Year award last month, and the standout runner has earned the Pizza Ranch Student-Athlete of the Month Award - an in-house award from Maranatha Athletics.
Fopma won the inaugural NCCAA North Region Championship and earned the North Region Runner of the Year honor, as he led the Sabercats to their first-ever NCCAA regional championship on October 23 in Ankeny, Iowa.
Before that milestone race, Fopma secured an All-State selection at the Wisconsin Private College Championships, as he finished fifth in the field with a season-best time of 25:52 - just 48 seconds off his PR.
Fopma and the Sabercats are heading to NCCAA Nationals in Joplin, Missouri, where they will run in the season finale on Friday.
