GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The National Christian College Athletic Association has named their 2021 All-American listings for Men's and Women's Soccer, and Ethan Cooper and Hannah Evans have been named as Second-Team All-Americans.
This is the first time for both student-athletes to be named among the top players in Division II in their respective sports. Cooper becomes Maranatha Men's Soccer's 36th All-American selection while Evans' selection is the 39th All-American selection for Maranatha Women's Soccer.
Cooper served as a team captain and anchored the Sabercats' defense in the 2021 season, playing and starting 13 games. Cooper scored his first career goal against Moody Bible in October before adding a goal in the Sabercats' season-ending overtime loss to Crown College at the NCCAA North Region Tournament.
Cooper was named as an NCCAA North Region First-Team selection in November and earns the All-America honor in his first season of playing collegiate soccer.
Evans was the team's lead captain and adds an All-American selection to her career awards list, which includes All-Region, NCCAA Nationals All-Tournament, and the 2021 Joe and Q Harding/GP4L Character Award.
Evans concludes a four-year career with a National Championship title to add to her seven career goals and four career assists.
