KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- The National Christian College Athletic Association has released the 2021 awards for Division II Women's Volleyball, and Mattie Bumpus has been named as the National MVP while Emily Johnson takes home All-America 1st-Team honors.
This is the first time in Bumpus's career that she earns the honor, which is the latest addition to a glittering collection of National MVP awards for the Maranatha Women's Volleyball Program in recent history:

Bumpus earns the award after being named North Region MVP a couple of weeks ago at the North Region Tournament.
Johnson earns 1st-Team honors for the second year in a row, as the sophomore setter is on the brink of surpassing 1,500 career assists. Johnson has been an engine of the Sabercats' offense this season, logging 101 kills and 767 assists on the year.
The Sabercats begin their bid for a 10th NCCAA DII National Championship tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. Eastern when they open the tournament against Bob Jones University.
