Wilkerson Named All-American
JOPLIN, Mo. -- Maranatha Men's Basketball senior captain Stephen Wilkerson has earned 3rd-Team All-America honors from the National Christian College Athletic Association.
The Dallas, Texas native finished the season averaging 18.4 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game while going 80.9 percent from the line. Wilkerson's season-jeopardizing injury in January kept him from hitting the 1,000-career-points mark, as he finished his fourth season with 972 career points.
Wilkerson earned NCCAA North Region 1st-Team honors the past two seasons while earning North Region 3rd-Team honors his sophomore season.
This is Wilkerson's first career All-American selection.
