WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The NCCAA North Region title has eluded Maranatha Soccer recently, but this November, both teams will have the chance to return to the top of the North- on their home field.

Both teams will host the NCCAA North Region tournaments November 5-7, and the winner secures a trip to Florida and shot at the NCCAA DII National Championship.

Men's Soccer

The last time Maranatha won the regional title was in 2008, as the region has proven to be a powerhouse at the national stage. Indisputably, Maranatha's region is the strongest at the national level: eight of the last nine NCCAA DII National Finals have had a North Region representative.

With defending regional champions Providence University College returning for more in 2020, the Sabercats will have their hands full.

Women's Soccer

Anything can happen on the Women's side of the postseason scene. Last year, Faith Baptist took home their first-ever NCCAA Regional title on their own home field, so that means that in the last four seasons, three different institutions have taken home the North Region title.

The Sabercats will have their sights fixed on Providence, who've dashed the Sabercats' regional hopes three straight times. In overtime.
