Sponnie Starts it Off
WATERTOWN, Wis. -- Alexis Sponable lit up the scoresheet in September, and she has been awarded the first Pizza Ranch Student-Athlete of the Month Award for 2020 - an award given in-house at Maranatha in conjunction with the Sabercats' premier sponsor, Pizza Ranch.
Sponable scored or assisted in every game but one in September, registering five goals and three assists. For her efforts, Sponable collected back-to-back weekly awards from the NCCAA, as her performances garnered local and national attention alike.
The senior standout is rapidly closing the gap on Karis Rogers, who holds the all-time goals (53) and points (122) records for the team.
