GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The National Christian College Athletic Association has named Jeff Pill as the NCCAA DII Women's Soccer National Coach of the Year.

Pill led the Sabercats to the first NCCAA DII National Championship in the 22-year history of the program, marking an emphatic ending to a year that began with uncertainty. The Sabercats' 5-1 defeat of Randall University in the championship game was the largest margin of victory in a national championship game in the 19-year history of NCCAA DII women's soccer.

The Sabercats knocked off Faith Baptist Bible College in the NCCAA North Region Championship to get to Nationals in the first place - it was their first Nationals trip since 2016.

Pill and the Sabercats finish the season with a 6-5-1 record, and Pill joins Sommer (Rodolph) Sherren as the only two NCCAA DII National Coach of the Year recipients in the history of the program.
