Back to Business
WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Maranatha Athletic Department has released the 2020 Women's Soccer schedule, and a strong returning squad and a "new" head coach will be gunning to get back to the NCCAA DII National Tournament.
Anyone that follows this team doesn't need a reminder about the last three seasons, but here it is: three times in a row, the Sabercats have faced Providence University College in the NCCAA DII North Region Tournament, and three times in a row, the Pilots ended the Sabercats' season in sudden-death overtime.
It's like a bad dream. But it makes the goal for the season that much more vivid.

COACHING COHESION
Jeff Pill will step in as the team's head coach for the 2020 season, maintaining oversight over both Maranatha Soccer programs in the process. Alyssa Wright will return as the primary assistant coach, and Taylor Pill, Kevin Risma, and Dr. Lane Hansel will all contribute coaching responsibilities to the team as well.
"What I'm very excited about is the chance to work with both groups of athletes," Jeff Pill said. "Both groups are filled with people that are passionate about what they are doing, and they want to use their talents for God's glory.
"I think we will be able to have a model where we work out a good balance of time with both programs, so I'm looking forward to having 'twice as much fun', in a sense. It will be exciting to work with two great staffs - people who are committed to the program and want the best for the student-athletes.
