Sabercats Seeded #4 for Nationals
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Sabercats have been seeded #4 for the 2019 NCCAA DII National Tournament, and they will open play with a highly anticipated rematch.
Maranatha will face tournament host and rival Bob Jones University, who have been seeded as the #5 team after earning a berth into the tournament as the host institution.
The game will be a rematch of the opening game of the 2017 National Tournament, when the Sabercats beat the Bruins 63-59 in Ankeny, Iowa.
The winner of the game will face the defending champions and #1-seed, Arlington Baptist, who have earned a bye into the semifinal for the six-team tournament. Arlington Baptist is the heavy favorite, as they have won the national championship each of the last four seasons.
