WATERTOWN, Wis. -- After being honored by the Association of Division III Independents for her standout performances in February, Callie Morrison has been named as the Pizza Ranch Student-Athlete of the Month - an in-house award from MBU.

The freshman guard led Maranatha to a perfect 11/11 wins in February, as the team chipped away at a program-best run of 13 straight wins. The rookie led Maranatha to the NCCAA North Region Championship by scoring 21 points in both games at the regional tournament, giving Maranatha a return trip to the national tournament after a one-year hiatus.

Morrison averaged 16.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and five assists for the month, and was named as the AD3I student-athlete of the month, the AD3I student-athlete of the week (February 2-9), and the NCCAA student-athlete of the week (February 18-23).

The Jefferson, Wisconsin native finished her rookie year as a 2nd Team NCCAA All-American, registering 403 points, 132 rebounds, and 130 assists while averaging 15.5 points/game, 5.1 rebounds/game, and five assists/game.
