GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Callie Morrison was at her best last week as she led the Sabercats to the NCCAA North Region Championship, and she has earned the National Christian College Athletic Association's weekly award as a result.
Morrison averaged 18.7 points per game last week, leading the Sabercats to three wins on the week. The freshman guard scored 14 points in a 72-48 win over Mount Mary, and then followed it up with consecutive 21-point games in the NCCAA North Region Tournament.
Morrison earned NCCAA 1st Team All-Region honors last week, and she showcased her talent at the regional tournament by averaging 21 points, 6.5 rebounds, and six assists.
This is the third weekly award that the rookie has earned, as she grabbed AD3I honors twice earlier this season.
Morrison and the Sabercats are preparing for the upcoming NCCAA DII National Tournament, for which they have received the #4 seed.
