A Nod for Nelson
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Tyler Nelson netted four goals in one game last week, and the junior midfielder has been named as the Association of Division III Independents' Student-Athlete of the Week.
Nelson's four-goal game led Maranatha to a 6-1 win over Silver Lake College, which was MBU's largest margin of victory on the season. By scoring four goals in a game, Nelson becomes just the fifth player in program history to hit that mark.
The junior now leads the team in goals (six) and points (13) this season, as the Sabercats have two more games left in the regular season.
