WATERTOWN, Wis. -- Kelsey Johnson needed just one match to reinforce her mid-season form last week, and she has been awarded accordingly.

For the second time this season, Johnson has been named as the Student-Athlete of the Week for both the Association of Division III Independents and the National Christian College Athletic Association.

The junior out of Daggett, Michigan was her usual self in the Sabercats' straight-set win over Alverno last week, posting 11 kills off 18 attempts with no errors. Johnson pitched in 15 assists and 13 digs to record her sixth triple-double of the season - a mark that ties her for third in the NCAA DIII.

Johnson and the Sabercats will return to action this weekend at the Emmaus Triangular, as they will take on the #1-ranked Eagles (NCCAA) before facing Judson University to complete the day. Follow at mbusabercats.com/composite.
