Fourpeat Forecast: Women's Volleyball Releases 2018 Schedule
WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The schedule for the three-time consecutive NCCAA national champs has been released, as the Sabercats Women's Volleyball team eyes yet another NCCAA DII banner.
2017 IN THE MIRROR
Last year, the Sabercats went 8-0 in the NCCAA DII postseason to capture their third straight national title. The Sabercats finished the year with an NCCAA divisional record of 11-1. In the past three years at NCCAA DII Nationals, the Sabercats have dropped just two sets.
Lexi Bueltel was the Sabercats' go-to offensive performer, as the NCCAA All-American finished her standout four-year career with a 414-kill season. Bueltel led Maranatha in kills and in blocks (108), pitching in 299 digs and 50 aces for an all-around masterclass. This season, the Sabercats will need to replace Bueltel along with Katie Bender and Madeline Suderman. Bender anchored the Sabercats' defense with 737 digs while Suderman proved her worth with 253 kills, 66 digs, and 39 blocks on the season.

The 2018 season schedule holds the following highlights;
- Faith Spikefest Tournament - Aug. 31-Sep. 1
- Eight regular-season NCCAA DII Matches
- Nine home matches
- NCCAA Regionals: Ankeny, Iowa - Nov. 2-3
- NCCAA DII Nationals: Greenville, S.C. - Nov. 15-17
The Sabercats will host triangulars on September 28 and October 13 and will face NCCAA North Region opponents Emmaus (Sep. 11 and Oct. 20) and Moody Bible (Sep. 15) during the regular season.
