DeLozier Steps In

WATERTOWN, Wis. -- After serving as an assistant coach for the first two seasons, Regina DeLozier will step in as Interim Head Coach for the 2020 season of Sabercats Men's Volleyball.

It goes without saying that DeLozier is qualified - besides serving as an assistant coach for the Men's Team since its inception as a club team, DeLozier has coached the Maranatha Women's Volleyball Team since the 2007 season, leading them to three consecutive NCCAA DII national titles and two national runner-up finishes.

Just this past season, DeLozier collected the trifecta of NCCAA North Region Coach of the Year, NCCAA DII National Coach of the Year, and AVCA/NCCAA National Coach of the Year for her work with Sabercats Women's Volleyball.

"We are excited to have Coach DeLozier back in the lead seat on the MBU Sabercats Men’s Volleyball bench," said Rob Thompson, MBU Athletic Director. "Coach DeLozier’s credentials speak for themselves as she has continued the legacy of MBU Women’s Volleyball as NCCAA region champions and national contenders since 2007."

DeLozier takes over for her daughter, Torey Rosen, who announced in May that she would step down from the head coaching position due to family reasons.

DeLozier will be joined by assistant coach Pam Fiocchi on the coaching staff, and  Rosen's involvement with the team in the 2020 season will be nothing more than the role of volunteer assistant.
