Hansel Honored
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Claire Hansel was a force to a be reckoned with last week, and after posting a career-high 26 kills against Beloit College in a 3-0 week, the junior has been named as the National Christian College Athletic Association Student-Athlete of the Week.
Hansel's 26-kill performance against Beloit bested her previous career-high mark by three, and it was the third match of her career where she logged over 20. Hansel followed that performance up with nine and 10 kills in the next two matches, leading the Sabercats' offensive efforts in the undefeated run.
Hansel tabulated 20 digs in the Beloit match and would go on to average 3.73 digs per set on the week while attacking at a clip of .340.
The Sabercats have now strung together nine straight wins and will look to make it a perfect 10 tomorrow night against Wisconsin Lutheran College. The first serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Milwaukee. Follow live at mbusabercats.com/schedule.
