Scholar-Athlete Additions
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The National Christian College Athletic Association has announced the spring scholar-athletes, and the three student-athletes from the Sabercats Softball Team increase the Sabercats' year-end scholar-athlete count to 27.
To qualify for the award, a student-athlete must be an upperclassman or a grad student and have maintained a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a 4.0 scale. The Sabercats Men's Volleyball Team was the only team not eligible for scholar-athlete selections, as the sport is still invitation-only at the national level.
The Sabercats' Men's Soccer team led the way with 13 names on the list, and the Women's Soccer and Womens' Cross Country teams were also named to the NCCAA Scholar-Team listings, as they averaged over 3.40 as a team.
