Wilkerson Awarded
WATERTOWN, Wis. -- Stephen Wilkerson was a producer during the month of February, and he has been given the Pizza Ranch Student-Athlete of the Month Award - an award given in-house by MBU in conjunction with Pizza Ranch, the Sabercats' premier sponsor.
Wilkerson was the only student-athlete from Maranatha's basketball teams to register double-digit points in every game, averaging over 20 and contributing 8.75 rebounds per game. Wilkerson hit a career-high 34 points in an NCCAA North Region win at Moody, going on to post 102 points in a four-game stretch.
The junior from Dallas capped off his season as an NCCAA North Region selection, and he is now eligible for the limited All-America selections, which will be announced next weekend at the NCCAA DII National Tournament.
Wilkerson and the Sabercats had their season end in the NCCAA North Region semifinal, falling to Faith Baptist in overtime, 98-88.
