GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Taylor Dafoe set a program record with 48 assists last week, and the National Christian College Athletic Association has taken notice.
The senior's career-high, program-record performance came en route to leading the Sabercats to a 2-1 showing at the CUW Tournament, and the NCCAA has honored the senior with the student-athlete of the week award.
Dafoe compiled 98 assists and 35 digs over the three-match weekend, setting career-high marks with 16 digs in the same match as his program record: a thrilling five-set win over Millikin University.
Dafoe has been a vital part of the Sabercats 6-1 rotation this season and will look to improve on his stellar play even in a lighter, one-match week this week.
