Callie Highlights Honors

JOPLIN, Mo. -- The National Christian College Athletic Association has announced their postseason awards, and Callie Morrison highlights the Maranatha selections with her second career All-America honor.

The sophomore was named to the NCCAA DII All-America 2nd Team last year and was named as one of the top five players in the country with a 1st-Team selection this year. The quick guard was a shoo-in for the award after averaging 17 points and five assists per game this season and earning NCCAA North Region honors a couple of weeks ago.

Morrison becomes the first NCCAA DII 1st-Team All-American since Hanna Glaze (2017) and is the second 1st-Team selection for the program since the 2012-13 season.

Joining Morrison in the NCCAA postseason awards are scholar-athletes Karley Johnson, Kelsey Johnson, Ashley Nerat, and Zeke Steuerwald. Those four scholar-athletes fit the criteria of a career GPA of 3.4 or better while maintaining upperclassman status.
